Working for GETECH
Based in Leeds, UK, close to the Yorkshire Dales, GETECH is a leading independent oil, gas and minerals exploration consultancy, providing a range of services, data and studies to the international oil and mineral exploration industry.
Working for GETECH
Well known as a geophysics company specializing in the compilation, advanced processing and interpretation of gravity and magnetic data. GETECH has recently undergone a transformation to a multidisciplinary oil, gas and minerals consultancy. We now employ a wide range of geoscientists from different disciplines including: geophysicists, structural geologists, petroleum geologists, geochemists, sedimentologists and GIS technicians.
Our staff now work on a range of projects from our traditional non-exclusive data compilations and proprietary gravity and magnetic interpretation projects through to our new non-exclusive petroleum systems studies.
Since our flotation on the London Alternative Investment Market (AIM) in 2005 we have been growing, so much so that we have had to move from our original offices at the University of Leeds to new premises in Roundhay on the northern outskirts of the city. To find our more about our history please click here.
Of course it’s not all work. Our staff regularly meet to play badminton, golf and tennis, and to walk in the Yorkshire Dales. We even have a film club, a yoga club and an allotment! Every year, alternating between a foreign destination and somewhere in the UK, we close the office for three days to participate in our GETECH Conference. This is not only a good opportunity to discuss new business ideas and the strategy of the company but also a chance to get to know your colleagues while for example on the golf course, descending a canyon or, possibly, in the restaurant or bar in the evening.
The current staff of around 40 multidisciplinary geoscientists offers a stimulating and interactive technical atmosphere. If a dynamic consultancy environment appeals to you, working with an unrivalled global database and a great team of geoscientists, then GETECH might offer the challenge you’re looking for.
