Basin Analyst
We are currently looking to recruit a Basin Analyst. The successful candidate will work within a growing group of geologists and other geoscientists. The role will include providing expertise in seismic interpretation and seismic stratigraphy as part of GETECHs petroleum systems workflow. Based in our head office in Leeds, the position may require travel to interact with our international clients. A competitive salary, commensurate with industry standards and the individual's experience, will be offered.
The ideal candidate will:
- Hold a higher degree in Geology or Geophysics (at least MSc level)
- Have demonstrable post degree experience in basin analysis or a closely related field, including experience in seismic interpretation and seismic stratigraphy
- Demonstrate a knowledge of structural geology in relation to petroleum geology
- Have strong numeracy and IT skills
- Possess excellent communications skills and be fluent in English, both in writing and orally
In addition, the following skills will be beneficial:
- At least three years experience in the oil and gas industry
- Experience of working up block/prospects using seismic data
- Knowledge of basin modelling techniques and application
- Knowledge of play fairways mapping methodologies and concepts
- Be flexible and able to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Use of ArcGIS software
- Be able to present clearly and confidently to varied audiences

The role will include providing expertise in the underlying geodynamic processes of tectonics and how this impacts plate kinematics and crustal geometry and behaviour. Based in our head office in Leeds, the position may require travel to interact with our international clients. Interpretation Geophysicist: Gravity & Magnetics
We are currently looking to recruit a Potential Fields Geophysicist. The successful candidate will work within a growing group of geophysicists and other geoscientists. The role will include providing expertise in gravity and magnetic processing and interpretation on a range of projects; integration of gravity and magnetic data to generate new GETECH products; and working closely with GETECH's geologists as part of multi-disciplinary studies. Based in our head office in Leeds, the position may require travel to interact with our international clients. The ideal candidate will:
- Hold a good degree or post graduate qualification in Geophysics, Geology or a related subject
- Have demonstrable experience of the application of gravity and magnetic methods to oil and gas exploration
- Have good understanding of structural and sedimentary geology

- Be flexible and able to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Possess excellent communications skills and be fluent in English, both in writing and orally

Potential Fields Geophysicist with GETECH, Denver Colorado
We are currently looking to recruit a Potential Fields Geophysicist for our growing Denver office. Candidates must have at least a Bachelor’s degree in geophysics or geology with demonstrated knowledge of potential fields processing as applied to oil and gas exploration. Candidates with a higher degree and/or two years interpretation experience involving petroleum geology and structural geology will be preferred. Strong computer skills are required, in particular with MS Office, Geosoft Oasis Montaj and ESRI ArcGIS. Good presentation, communication and organizational skills are essential. Structural Geologist (Ref: geo10/08)
GETECH is looking to hire an experienced structural geologist to join our rapidly expanding, multi-disciplinary team of geoscientists. GETECH has a growing reputation in basin and regional scale structural interpretation and linking this with developing tectonic modeling. The successful candidate will work within the Structural Group. Applicants should hold at least an MSc in Structural Geology. Subsequent industry or academic experience is strongly preferable.
The post is based in our head office in Leeds, close to the Yorkshire Dales, and offers the opportunity for world-wide travel to the offices of our international clients. Good communication and project management skills are essential. A competitive salary, commensurate with industry standards and the individual's experience, would be offered.
The role will include the following:
- Structural interpretation at basin (especially) and regional scale
- Interpretation of basin-scale structure using potential fields data (in collaboration with our geophysicists)
- Seismic interpretation

- Coordinating and writing reports
- Visiting and interacting with clients
