Global Topography and Bathymetry Data
GETECH has generated a unique ‘Global Gravity and Bathymetry Database’ that integrates:
• GETECH’s offshore new and improved satellite gravity product called ‘Trident’• GETECH’s unique onshore continental data compilations
• GETECH’s new bathymetry grid
coverage of GETECH’s ‘Ultimate’ satellite gravity data
The satellite gravity product (Trident) is a result of over ten years of research in deriving new processing technologies to convert satellite altimeter data into free air gravity and Bouguer anomaly. The onshore datasets comprise the five major onshore compilation studies (AGP, SAGP, SEAGP and NCAPG and WEEGP) carried out by GETECH over the past 15 years, covering all continents except North America and Antarctica. The new global bathymetry grid allows the more accurate calculation of Bouguer anomalies in the marine areas (see Appendix1 for more details).
